Castle Dome Mine and Museum

Castle Dome Mine and Museum, Yuma, Arizona, USA – 2017. The Castle Dome Museum is a restoration of an old mining town that was established in the same location in the late 1880’s. Native Americans had mined the area prior to the arrival of prospectors in the 1860’s. Minerals mined in the area included lead, silver, zinc, copper and gold. Most of the mining activity in the area took place before 1900 but limited activity continued until the 1970’s.
